Game: Papillon

I worked on a team project. A demo game about the isolation segment in the movie/book Papillon.

I took care of the interaction phases and the game's scenario (of which the demo is only an extract), written in a Game Design Document.
I modelled, textured and animated the player character's hands and recorded his screams and breathing. I did all the code apart from the shaders.

The main idea was to bring to life the distressing aspect of the character's life, his isolation, which affects him more and more, particularly through the gameplay.

Writing the script was a bit tricky, involving psychosis as well as psychotropic drugs and their effects; subjects that required a great deal of research to avoid misinformation.
These elements had to be pillars of the story and make it interesting, but the player also had to understand all the negative aspects.
