Romeo and Juliette in the Palaeolithic era
Romeo: Homo Neanderthalensis => Montal Family
Juliet: Homo Sapiens => Capens Family
As the Homo Neanderthalensis and the Homo Sapiens coexisted for a period of time, I wanted that to be the difference between the families of Romeo and Juliet.
The Capens saw figments of the future and used that knowledge to advance their civilisation. Though, they focused so much on aesthetics that they almost completely dismissed fighting, and live only by using tapestry and other techniques to repel predators.
Juliet is an explorer and a warrior but hides it from her family, keeping a fragile and doclie persona around them. She admires the Montals.
The Montal have a deep spiritual aspect. They value the Land and their dead ancestors. They fight, hunt... well, live like normal Homo Neandertalensis.
Romeo is more of an artist. Yet, he keeps the persona of a normal member of his tribe. Though, he always goes to see the land of the Capens at night as he admires their craft.
